<p style="font-weight: 400;">Medicinal plants have long been known to provide many benefits: medicine, foodstuffs, and cosmetics. The approachtaken is to explore a particular community in the use of herbal cosmetics from natural ingredients, namely ethnopharmacy. The research aimed to inventory the types of medicinal plants that can be used as herbal cosmetics in several regions in Indonesia, namely the Dayak ethnic (Kanayatn), Central Java, Using, keraton, Melayu, Wolio and Sasak. The data obtained from this research used the narrative review method such as database Google, Pubmed, Science Direct, then selected journals that met the research criteria. Based on the exploration of articles in several databases, the results obtained 44 families and 76 plant species used as herbal cosmetics such as removing body odor, nail care, eye care, facial and skin care, hair care, stamina booster and postpartum care for women. <p style="font-weight: 400;">Ethnopharmaceutical Study is a part of pharmaceutical science that studies the use of drugs and the way of treatment carried out by certain ethnicities or ethnic groups. One of the tribes that still uses or applies ethnopharmaceuticals is the Mandar tribe of Mambu Village, Luyo District, Polewali Mandar Regency, West Sulawesi Province. This research uses the Purposive sampling method. A type of research with interview techniques using questionnaire media. Where ethnopharmaceutical data is collected by surveying plants using the media of distributing questionnaires to traditional stores, sandro, and people who have knowledge and experience in using medicinal plants for documentation researchers using cameras and recorders. The study results obtained 39 species, 32 genera, and 25 families of medicinal plants. These results are some of the most widely used plants, including guava leaves, ginger rhizomes, lemongrass stems, cat whisker leaves, and papaya leaves. The results of various medicinal plants used by the people of the Mandar Tribe of Mambu Village can treat ulcers, headaches, antihypertensives, antidiabetics, kidney stones, antipyretics, lumbago, diarrhea, shortness of breath, wounds, cancer, cholesterol, cough, flu and tumors. <p style="font-weight: 400;">Salah satu tanaman yang sudah dikenal dalam masyarakat dan digunakan sebagai bahan pangan adalah daun teh yang memiliki kandungan polifenol, kafein, saponin, katekin dan tanin, senyawa tanin memiliki khasiat sebagai astringen, anti diare, anti bakteri dan antioksidan. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menentukan kadar tanin pada beberapa ekstrak teh celup. Ekstrak yang diperoleh dianalisis secara kualitatif dengan pereaksi amonia positif berwarna hijau, dan menggunakan pereaksi amonia ditambah K<sub>3</sub>Fe(CN)<sub>6</sub> positif berwarna merah tua, sedangkan untuk uji kuantitatif menggunakan spektrofotometer UV-Vis. Pengukuran dilakukan pada panjang gelombang maksimum 727,063 nm, dengan pembanding asam tanat. <p>Tanaman obat telah lama digunakan oleh masyarakat di Indonesia sebagai salah satu alternatif pengobatan suatu penyakit. Kecamatan Keera merupakan salah satu wilayah di Kabupaten Wajo, Provinsi Sulawesi Selatan dihuni oleh etnis bugis juga menggunakan tanaman obat untuk menggobati berbagai macam penyakit. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan tujuan untuk mengetahui jenis-jenis tumbuhan berkhasiat obat yang digunakan oleh masyarakat Kecamatan Keera untuk mengobati penyakit. Watampone is the capital of Bone Regency consisting of three subdistricts, Tanete Riattang Barat, Tanete Riattang, and East Tanete Riattang. The capital is mostly inhabited by Buginese who utilizes medicinal plants to treat various diseases, especially for hypertension. The research aimed to discover the plant species used by local people for hypertension treatment.
