Makassar Pharmaceutical Science Journal is one of the journals managed by the Faculty of Pharmacy, Universitas Muslim Indonesia, which was first published in March 2023. Makassar Pharmaceutical Science Journal is a scientific journal published on-line and publishes articles or scientific works of research results in the field of natural medicine.

This scientific code of ethics statement is a statement of the code of ethics of all parties involved in the publication process of this scientific journal, namely managers, editors, reviewers and authors. The Code of Ethics for Scientific Publication essentially upholds three ethical values in publication, namely (i) Neutrality, which is free from conflicts of interest in the management of publications, (ii) Fairness, which gives authorship rights to those entitled as authors, and (iii) Honesty, which is free from duplication, fabrication, falsification, and plagiarism in publications.

Publisher Responsibility
1. The publisher of Makassar Pharmaceutical Science Journal (Pharmacy UMI Journal System) is responsible for publishing manuscripts after going through the editing, reviewing, and layout process in accordance with the rules of scientific journal publishing.
2. The publisher of Makassar Pharmaceutical Science Journal is responsible for ensuring academic freedom for editors and reviewers in carrying out their respective duties.
3. The publisher of Makassar Pharmaceutical Science Journal is responsible for maintaining privacy and protecting intellectual property and copyright, as well as editorial freedom.

Editor's Responsibility
The publisher of Makassar Pharmaceutical Science Journal is responsible for deciding which manuscripts are suitable for publication through editorial board meetings referring to applicable legal requirements regarding defamation, copyright infringement, duplication, data fabrication, data falsification and plagiarism.
In the process of reviewing and accepting manuscripts, the Makassar Pharmaceutical Science Journal editorial team is based on the principle of equal treatment in making decisions to publish manuscripts by not distinguishing between race, gender, religion, ethnicity, nationality, or political ideology of the author.
The editor and editorial team of Makassar Pharmaceutical Science Journal will not disclose any information about the manuscript or manuscript submitted except with the author's permission.
Unpublished manuscripts will not be used by the research editor of Makassar Pharmaceutical Science Journal for their own interests and will be returned directly to the author.

Reviewer Responsibility
1. Reviewers of Makassar Pharmaceutical Science Journal assist editors in making editorial decisions on submitted manuscripts.
2. Reviewers of Makassar Pharmaceutical Science Journal are responsible for the recommendations of the manuscripts they review. Manuscript reviews are carried out objectively, and supported by clear arguments.
3. Reviewers of Makassar Pharmaceutical Science Journal are responsible for citations, references, duplication, data fabrication, data falsification and plagiarism of the manuscripts they review.
4. Reviewers of Makassar Pharmaceutical Science Journal must always maintain the confidentiality of information and not use information from the manuscripts they review for personal gain / interest.

Author's Responsibility
Authors must present the manuscript of their thoughts or research clearly, honestly, and without duplication, data fabrication, data falsification and plagiarism.
1. The author is responsible for the confirmation submitted on the manuscript that has been written.
2. The author must indicate the reference of the opinions and works of others quoted.
3. Authors must write the manuscript ethically, honestly and responsibly in accordance with applicable writing rules.
4. The author does not mind if the manuscript undergoes editing in the review and layout process without changing the substance or main idea of the writing.
